The STEP Hong Kong Branch and the Private Wealth Management Association (PWMA) is pleased to present a webinar about practical considerations on managing wealth and assets of vulnerable clients. It will be held on Thursday, 10 September 2020 between 4.30 pm and 5.30 pm.
Topics to be covered in the webinar:
- Impact of ageing population on the Hong Kong community;
- Mental capacity definition and case examples of elderly financial abuse;
- The Mental Health Ordinance, Cap 136 (MHO) in a nutshell;
- Common assets of MIPs requiring management;
- Role of a Committee;
- Powers of a Committee (e.g. dealing with the maintenance, debts, investments of the MIP);
- Duties of a Committee (e.g. setting up Committee accounts); and
- Recent case judgements.
There is no charge to watch the webinar, but registration is essential in order to receive the Zoom link.
